As the Chief Executive Officer of Sunken Ltd, she leads the company’s mission to provide innovative, energy-saving cooking solutions and solar water pumps that empower vulnerable communities across Kenya and beyond.

Carrying forward the legacy of her late mother and Sunken’s founder, Jenifer Adero Atego, Christine has transformed Sunken Ltd into a purpose-driven enterprise rooted in sustainability, inclusivity, and impact. Under her leadership, the company continues to bridge the gap between climate action and community well-being.

Boniface Otieno

Chief Operations Officer

Boniface is a passionate and impact-driven leader dedicated to delivering practical, scalable solutions that empower underserved communities through clean energy, climate-smart agriculture, and sustainable business models.
As the Chief Operations Officer of Sunken Ltd, he oversees operations that design, manufacture, and distribute clean cookstoves in Kakuma and Kalobeyei — regions home to one of the world’s largest refugee populations. His work directly addresses the challenges of energy poverty, public health, and environmental degradation, while creating livelihood opportunities for women and youth.
Boniface’s experience spans more than 16 years in project management, market research, and data analytics, blending technical expertise with a deep social mission. He has successfully:

  • Led clean energy access programs in fragile and marginalized settings.
  • Built last-mile distribution networks with over 130 local distributors.
  • Driven partnerships and funding proposals with development partners and donors.
  • He is deeply committed to leveraging business for good — combining innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment to create lasting impact across Africa. Boniface believes that true progress comes when technology, people, and purpose work together to uplift the most vulnerable.

Maurice Ojow
Head of Finance

Maurice is a results-driven finance professional with over a decade of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and operational efficiency within social enterprises and development organizations.

As the Finance and Administration Manager at Sunken Ltd, Maurice oversees the company’s budgeting, accounting, and reporting functions — ensuring transparency, accountability, and compliance with both donor and regulatory requirements.

Legal & Compliance Officer

Thomas is a highly skilled legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and governance frameworks. At Sunken Ltd, he ensures that all business operations, partnerships, and projects adhere to both national legislation and international best practices.
